Spring Break 2008 Contest Winners
"The Bird Shirt is a great way for the Illinois State community to show school spirit while receiving great discounts at the same time. I am for excited to see ISU starting a program like the Bird Shirt which is already at many large Universities and I hope this makes us more unified like these other institutions.

1st – Kristen Johnson - Photo taken in Matamoros, Mexico while on a mission trip. She is with Brenda and Miguel, 2 of the 4 children from the family that she helped build a house.
2nd – Elisabeth Green - “I didn’t go on vacation, but thought I could take my Redbird spirit home with me! This picture is at the dentist.”
3rd – Jonathan Bengston - “The girl on the left wearing the Bird Shirt is Sara Schauff. The guy on the right with the worded shirt is me (make sure you read it). The people in the background are the rest of the team from Alternative Spring Break in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana."
Jonathan's shirt says, "My other shirt says 'Fear the Bird.' I don't want you to do that. We are on Alternative Spring Break. We are from Illinois State University. These Birds are here to help."
