Study Areas and Hangout Spaces

Students looking for a great place to study or just meet with friends need to look no further than the Bone Student Center. We've got great spaces to meet or eat with friends, with or without a meal plan.

  • Atrium Lounge - located on the second floor, just through the Prairie Room, this new location is now open. This bright, modern and airy space is a great place to study, take a break, or just see and be seen.
  • Bird's Nest - located on the second floor, near Pizza Hut Express and Burger King. It's a great place to grab a bite to eat, watch a little television in between classes, or just hang out with friends.
  • Braden Lounges - located on the east and west spaces of Braden. If you need a little private space, our small tables and limited traffic provides you with a little extra breathing room to read, study or meet with others.
  • Courtyard Garden - Enjoy the new outdoor garden created especially for studying or just hanging with friends. Entrance to the Garden is through the doors in the east lounge on the first floor.
  • Faculty/Staff Commons - located on the first floor, just behind the Cage II Coffee Shop. This comfortable space includes a small library, color television, comfortable seating, kitchenette, and plenty of open space to meet with university colleagues, read or just relax. Open to university faculty and staff only.
  • Prairie Room - located on the second floor across from the Bird's Nest. Take your lunch or purchase one in the Bird's Nest. This open space has plenty of tables for those moments when you need a little extra space to spread out text books or meet with friends.
  • Third Floor Lounges - Take the elevator up to the third floor for some quiet study or just some extra time to recharge. Enjoy the outstanding views as you overlook campus. You'll find comfortable seating and quiet ambience to clear your mind in between classes.
